What a game can teach you in a hour.

Played a game during a lecture. It is suppose to be a fun game where people are asked to choose random chips and according to color and size of the chips you chose, you will get a certain mark. I chose different color and different sizes. I got pretty high in average mark. For example. Yellow small coin worths 50 and Big red coin worth 15. So, when you get a score you are put into a group and there were 3 groups for our class. Then you can trade with people without showing your hands ( Coins). You have to trade up to higher score. It is a little tricky because of the exponent rule such as 3 red will increase your score by 15. So people started trading and I watched and learned for the first round. However my score was high enough but not when the bonus chips came in. The professor gave 3 small red bonus chips with worth 40. As a group we have to decide who to give. I didn't get it because I lost in a rock paper scissor game. So I was moved to another group. then again round 2 start. However, in this round I made some calculation mistakes, so my score went down to 95. When the bonus chip come in, I was planning to get that chip but I lied because they were giving it to people with low score which I am not. Oh well. I was the highest score in the group so I was sent to the group which has people with highest score. Then the professor said, You guys go and make the rule and make any rule you want. So we whipped up some rules like the bonus small red coin will worth 100 which will bump up our scores like crazy and we are also going to offer whatever we want and ask for certain chip and people must trade with us. Another rule was people cannot decline the trade nor trade with other people but us. Oh my . How horrible. But quite fun to have the power. Now, my morale of the game time. I figure how sweet power could be if you are the one who owns it and I want that power. I was feeling bad at first for the rule however after a little while I get used to it. Secondly, Money/ Score was the factor which allow us to reach to place where you can decide and build your own rule. Third morale would be knowledge matters because one of the girl playing new about the game and chose all the highest score coin which gives her heads up but didn't win completely at last. The one who win was the one who has most of the small red coins and convinced the group to make the rule that the small red coins should worths 100 points which makes me realize being able to convinced people is a handy skill which will lead to success. I also realize my weakness during the game which is my habit of feeling sorry for others which leads me not to force people to trade for whatever when i had the chance. Well, now I know what I want and learned tons of lessons  This was a good day.
